Red Lodge Mountain not only enjoyed a beautiful spring day on the last weekend of its season but reports say that the Mountain broke all records for a final weekend with 1,400 people riding the lifts last Sunday to enjoy the 30 inches of fresh powder. Between 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. it was snowing four inches per hour.
“Closing day was incredible,” said Jeff Carroll, Director of Sales and Marketing at Red Lodge Mountain. “Skier visits were very good, but the real news was the 30" of snow that fell Saturday night. Except for the past few years, our snowfall records aren't specific enough to know if that was an all-time record snowfall for closing day, but it was certainly the most snow we've seen on closing day in recent memory. It was a great way to put a cap on a great season (during which we saw 311" of snow), and our guests were overjoyed, many of which said it was the best day of the season.”
