Vanessa Lynn (Quinn) Richardson, 38, of Red Lodge passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013. Vanessa was born to Van Quinn and Kitt (Capps) Quinn on Feb. 4, 1975 in Red Lodge.
In 1979 Vanessa was joined by a little brother, Chris. Her childhood years were spent with many dear friends; dancing in the Festival of Nations, playing softball, basketball, tormenting her little brother, playing video games with her crowd of friends, loving her cats, enjoying her music, fishing with her Dad, and going to many concerts in Billings.
Vanessa graduated from Red Lodge High School in 1993. Vanessa’s sweet daughter, Brittany (Britt), was born in Billings on Dec. 7, 1995 and her inquisitive son, Damon (“D” Man), was born on Oct. 26, 1999 in Red Lodge.
Vanessa and Nick Richardson were married in Red Lodge on April 20, 2001. Always a Chicago Bulls fan and very vocal about it too, Vanessa was at a loss for words when she got to meet Coach Phil Jackson in Red Lodge and got his autograph. She was also a life-long Raider’s fan.
Vanessa was preceded in death by her grandparents. She is survived by her Dad, Van Quinn; her Mom, Kitt Quinn; her brother, Chris Quinn; her children, Brittany and Damon; her boyfriend, Brian Baker; and many, many special relatives and friends. We love you forever, our “Brown-Eyed Girl”. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Smith-Olcott Funeral Chapel in Red Lodge. Interment was in the John Henry Cemetery northwest of Red Lodge.
