Thanks to Cynthia

To the Editor,

As Kid's Corner enters a new era under an all-volunteer model, we wish to say a special thanks to Cynthia Rozamus for her three years of tireless and dedicated service. Once the idea, site, and mission statement for the non-profit were established, Cynthia took those general parameters, filled in the details, and turned the store into a fully functioning part of the community. Although the store sells primarily donated used items, Cynthia created a special "brand" for the store, featuring the "gently loved" items in a way that gave them new life. Through use of attractive display and by supplementing donated items with new inventory not readily available elsewhere in town, she made the store into a place popular to all age groups, from toddlers to grandparents. Her diligence helped to extend the customer base beyond Red Lodge, attracting some regular customers from as far away as Billings, Cody, and Bozeman. In addition, some of Red Lodge's repeat summer visitors from all around the country seek out the store when they return in subsequent years. Cynthia also nurtured the relationship between the store and the Children's Center by facilitating interactions, such as story times and art activities at the store. These provided a change of pace for the children while giving ongoing and happy reminders that the children are central to our mission. Many thanks, Cynthia, for all of your hard work, as well as the legacy you have provided for all continuing and future customers of Kid's Corner.
