Beartooth Recreational Trails Associations (BRTA) 7th annual Ski & Gear Swap at the Civic Center, Red Lodge, last weekend was “another huge success” according to its president Grant Bernard.  “It is one of the biggest turnouts,” said Bernard. “People are looking up at the Mountain and seeing all that snow. We went up there yesterday and it is in really good shape. There is a nice base of snow.” “It was great fun with lots of smiling people getting what they needed for recreating in the outdoors, as well as making a little cash selling off what’s not needed,” he said. “Big thanks go out to the community for the support, to Red Lodge Schools for use of the Civic Center, and bigger thanks to the faithful volunteers who pulled this off (294 hours of volunteering)!” said Bernard.   “Once again, it was all beautifully managed and coordinated by BRTA Board member Mary Johnson.  Thanks everyone. This and other fundraisers help BRTA continue to operate Red Lodge Nordic Center and to build and maintain hiking, biking and riding trails in and around Red Lodge.”
