Rockets Fire past the Falcons

The Roberts Lady Rockets and the Fromberg Lady Falcons squared off in a game that could be considered the tale of two halves. The 1st quarter of the cross county game ended with the Falcons taking a lead of 11-7, and were able to hang on going into the half up 17-13. However, the Rockets were able to take their first lead of 25-22 going into the final quarter. In the 4th quarter, the Rockets had an offensive explosion that enabled them to pull away from the Falcons with a final score of 57-36. Kylee Erette lead all scorers with 13, while fellow Rocket teammates Taylor Wright, and Brittany Prinki added 12 points of their own. Breanna Kinn and Angel Barker led the Falcons with 12 and 10 points apiece. On the following night, the Roberts Lady Rockets hosted the Plenty Coups Warriors in what would be a great game. Starting the game off with a 10-9 lead, the Rockets continued to build on their momentum before going into the locker room, increasing their lead by another 6 points. With the Rockets up 27-20 going into the 3rd, the Warriors turned up their defensive intensity holding the Rockets scoreless in the 3rd quarter while adding 9 points of their own. The Rockets wouldn’t go down without a fight though. Battling back and forth for the remainder of the final quarter, the Warriors were able to hold on, winning by the score of 41-40. Dani Nardinger led the Rockets with 16 points while Kelsey Pratt and Brittany Prinkki each added 7 points.
