Red Lodge Youth Soccer Fall registration
Summer has been flying by and it will soon be time to think about Fall soccer. Registration for the season is open now with registration forms due by Aug. 13. Registrations forms can be found on-line at www.redlodgeyouthsoccer. com, at the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation building and Sylvan Peak.
“We will have a onetime, in-person registration event on Aug. 13 at the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation at 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Please stop by to sign your kiddos up, meet the board and ask any questions you might have,” said Amy Hyfield, Director of Fall Soccer.
RLYS Fall Soccer is open to kids age 4 to 14 and is geared toward skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship and, of course, fun. Practices will start the first week of school and games will start Sept. 6 and continue until Oct. 11.
Preschoolers will practice and play during the week and not do any travelling. K- 6th grade kids will have practice during the week and games on Saturdays. There may be some local travelling within Carbon County for this group. The 7th and 8th graders will have a team that plays in the Yellowstone YSA league, practices will be in Red Lodge and they will travel to Billings for game days on Saturdays . Contac t Joel Adams with your interested 7th/8th grader at 698- 2190. Practices for all age groups are usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays but may be set by the coach to accommodate schedules.
“Don’t worry if you can’t make every practice; we understand that these kids have a lot of interests and that practices sometimes conflict with other events,” said Hyfield.
Cost for registration is $25/player or $50/family if registration is completed by Aug. 13. After Aug. 13 the cost is $40/player. Registration materials can be mailed to RLYS PO Box 2167 Red Lodge, MT 59068, turned in at Sylvan Peak or brought to registration on August 13. RLYS can help out with on-time registration costs. Scholarships will be funded by the RLYS scholarship fund but selection will be handled by the Red Lodge Area Community F o u n d a t i o n ’ s Yo u t h Enrichment Fund. Applications for the Youth Enrichment Fund can be found at www.rlacf.com or at the community foundation bui lding. Please have scholarship applications turned in to the RLACF by Aug. 13.
“We are always looking for help! If you are interested in coaching, organizing, setting up fields, publicity, etc. or would like to be on the board, please let us know. And don’t forget to donate to RLYS during this year’s Fun Run,” she said.
