Norita E. (Priske) Jaszkowiak

Norita E. (Priske) Jaszkowiak was born in Bismark, North Dakota, on Feb. 28, 1933 to Bonnie K. (Rand) and Dr. Milo S. Priske.  She attended St. Mary’s School through high school.

On Jan. 2, 1954 she married Bennie Jesse Burtts in Bismark, North Dakota, there were six children from this union.  They lived in California, North Dakota and finally in Montana. After Bennie’s death, she married John Paul Jaszkowiak on Dec. 12, 1981 in Red Lodge, Montana.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bonnie and Milo Priske, brothers Coleman, Warren Priske and her husband Bennie Jesse Burtts.

She leaves behind her husband John and children Linda Burtts (Marvin) Hayworth, Bonnie Burtts (John) Jares, Bennie John Burtts (Roxie), Julie Burtts (Paul) Lasater, Cherie Burtts (Doug) Stoddard and Shelly Burtts (Curt) Eckhardt, two sisters Kathryn Commiato and Judy (Doug) Chesak.  Grandchildren are Jeffery Hayworth, Justin (Joni) Jares, Ben (Jayme) Jares, Jonathan Jares, Eugene Pitts, Jacob Lasater, Christina (Chris) Gomer, Jesse Stoddard, Karla (Brian) Alsop, Danny (Yvonne) Eckhardt, Jamie (T.J. Baugus) Eckhardt and step-grandchildren Tiffany and David McCoy, 21 great-grandchildren and two on the way.

Norita was a faithful life-long Catholic.  She loved art, gardening and her family.  Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Norita’s life will be held at the family cabin on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, outside of Roberts, Montana, from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.  Condolences me be shared with the family by visiting smithfuneralchapels.com.
