Gladys Forstner

Gladys Forstner was born Sept. 29, 1919 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to Les and Edith Landon. She passed away March 9, 2017 at the age of 97. She moved to Fromberg, Montana, when she was 6 years old and later to Bearcreek, Montana, where she finished high school. She met and married George Forstner. She raised 5 kids and helped raise her youngest sister, Pat and her youngest brother Eddy Landon. She was a wonderful mother and a great cook. She worked at Natali’s Café and the Red Lodge Hospital where she retired from.

She is preceded in death by her husband George, 2 sons Les (Butch) and Joe, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers. She is survived by her son George (Irene) Forstner of Laurel, daughters Gaynelle (Warren) Stamp and Jeanne (Jess) Wallace both of Billings, 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and some great-great grandchildren. Also, her sister Pat (Bill) Rivers of Fromberg, sister-in-law Gracie Landon of Billings, and numerous nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank Parkview Healthcare Community Staff for taking such good care of her these past 9 months. No services are planned per her request. Smith Funeral Chapels is in charge of arrangements.
