Five students from Red Lodge Roosevelt Middle School, Alex Thuesen, Dax LeDoux, Jillian LaValley, Zoe Cortner, and Tucker Kane, recently participated in a contest sponsored by RiverStone Health in which they had to create a 1-minute public service announcement in video format.

The public service announcement had to address a health issue pertinent to our community.  After meeting to brainstorm local health issues with Carbon County Public Health Nurse, Roberta Cady, who volunteered her time for this project. They decided to address the increasing drug use among youth in our community.

The students created the video in their Desktop Publishing class at school.
The Roosevelt team received first prize for their video submission and won a state of the art Celstron Microscope with LCD display for group viewing, 72 slides, 100 coverslips, and an Elenco slide making kit for their school.

Their ad will also be made available for viewing by the public in the near future, so keep an eye out for their video.
