CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Broadway open week of July 7

Broadway from 3rd to Robinson will open tomorrow, July 2 for the Red Lodge Rodeo Holiday Weekend. Broadway will remain open the week of July 7 while the rest construction from 3rd to Robinson is completed with traffic control. Travelers may still elect to use the Detours next week to avoid any short delays due to flagger stations. Broadway will be open on gravel during this time. The work from 2nd to 5th will not begin until 3rd to Robinson is paved. The project will beautify and improve Red Lodge. Its purpose is to improve safety, pavement conditions, access and capacity. The project will also add and improve pedestrian and bicycle facilities. The project has four components: 1) Constructing a roundabout at the intersection of Broadway and 3rd Street; 2) Grading and resurfacing from 8th to Robinson; 3) Providing mill and overlay, guard rail and ADA improvement South of Red Lodge; 4) Grading and resurfacing of Brewery Hill on state route 78/3rd Street from Hauser Avenue to just short of Lazy M Street.
