Commissioner Tucker Arraigned on Theft Charge

Doug Tucker, Carbon County Commissioner,

is arraigned on one count of theft by common

scheme, a felony, in Carbon County District

Court on Wednesday, June 21.

On Wednesday, June 21, Carbon County Commission- er Doug Tucker was arraigned in front of a packed courtroom at Carbon County District Courthouse in Red Lodge. He is charged with one count of theft by common scheme, a felony. He pled not guilty. Tucker is represented by attorney, Vernon Wood- ward. Carbon County is repre- sented by Yellowstone County Prosecutor, Christo- pher A. Morris acting as Special Deputy in the case. Morris is Deputy Chief of Criminal Investigations for Yellowstone County Carbon County Attorney Alex Nixon recused his office from the case as soon as he became aware of the charge and immediately referred it to Yellowstone County.
